A Brief on Early Tiger Race History,
An Article by Bob Palmer
KEN MILES, an appreciation
This article, written by James T. Crow for the Road & Track Magazine, November 1966 (reprinted by permission), is a remembrance of the amazing exploits of Ken Miles. Ken was renowned in early West Coast racing history, completed the first Sunbeam Tiger prototype (though not presented to Lord Rootes), and had a fantastic racing record with his own MG Special and the subsequent Flying Shingle, as well as a fantastic history of success with Porsches, and later driving Sunbeams and then Cobras for Carroll Shelby. A special addendum from the Editor covers a personal relationship.
